Hi! I’m EllaJane Peters, the heart behind EllaJane Photography. Based in the beautiful Niagara Region and available for travel, I specialize in capturing meaningful moments with creativity, care, and an eye for detail shaped by years of experience both behind and in front of the lens.
Photography has always been a part of my story. I grew up surrounded by cameras, lights, and the rhythm of creative work—often helping my father as his lighting assistant on architectural shoots when I was just a little girl. Those early experiences lit a spark that’s grown into a deep passion and a career.
As an equestrian of 15 years and a lifelong athlete, I understand the power of timing, movement, and emotion. That insight helps me freeze-frame not just a scene, but a story—whether it's the quiet strength of a horse and rider, the energy of a sports moment, or the warmth of a family gathering.
I recently completed my Diploma in Photography from Niagara College, where I immersed myself in a wide range of photographic styles and techniques. During my time there, I was honored to receive multiple awards recognizing my creative vision and technical skill.

The Tym Hrycusko Memorial Trophy at Niagara College
is an award given to a graduating student in the Digital Photography program for outstanding technical proficiency, exemplary ethical values, and dedication to the profession.
The Portfolio of the Year award is highly coveted prize presented during the End of Year Show, to a student of the graduating class.
The Portfolio of the Year award was sponsored by Nikon Canada
who awarded the winner with a professional mirrorless lens.
